How will it help me?
Hypnobirthing will give you a tool kit of techniques to help you relax, to remain calm and focused and really understand how the body is designed to give birth.
You will feel confident, in control and empowered to ask for what you want. If your birth partner is also practising the techniques with you it will also enhance the communication between you and they play a really important supporting role throughout each stage.
What if I’m having a C-Section
Hypnobirthing can be used for all types of births.
Being calm and relaxed will benefit any situation whether you to choose to birth at home, in hospital, have an induction, planned or unplanned c-section.
Both you and your baby will benefit from the level fo calmness you will experience.
Will I be in a Trance?
The techniques teach self-hypnosis to achieve a deep state of relaxation and you will always be in control.
It is totally safe to achieve this state and in fact it happens to us naturally at various points during the day as it’s similar to the feeling of day dreaming which we easily and naturally come out of.
Can I learn the techniques myself without having to come to classes?
There are lots of resources you can use to help learn relaxation and reading about hypnobirthing techniques is good. However there are many benefits to attending a class and these are just a few of them.
You will be working with a qualified practitioner and as a Hypnotherapist and Hypnobirthing teacher
I will teach you the techniques of hypnosis in a way that works for you.
I can show how to use the techniques as effectively as possible during pregnancy and beyond and you will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like and be able to practice your new skills.
There is a focus on both you and your partner so that you are equally involved in the birth process. This includes postnatal support too with a focus on you.
